The Sevastopol marine plant, owned by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, operates unimpeded in annexed Crimea and manufactures spare parts for the Russian army. This was posted on Facebook by Vera Savchenko, sister of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko.

Following Russia's annexation of Crimea, media reports surfaced that the new Crimean authorities had allegedly seized Poroshenko's 13th Morzavod, along with all the peninsula's property and land. However, the former Party of Regions member Andrey Portnov posted documents on his Facebook page indicating that Poroshenko's Morzavod was re-registered to a new address in Kyiv. and is still controlled from the capital of Ukraine.

Portnov also noted that the plant Petro Poroshenko's Roshen, which is located in Lipetsk, is increasing its production and "regularly funding the Russian Federation budget.".
