The Ministry of Justice has released information about judges who refused to undergo lustration review. Ukrainian News officially contacted the Ministry of Justice and received a response stating that 44 judges, including 37 from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, refused to undergo lustration review. These judges include Valeriy Shvets and Volodymyr Kolesnichenko, judges of the High Specialized Court for Civil and Criminal Cases; Mykola Bolotin, judge of the Malinovsky District Court of Odesa; Serhiy Marchenko, judge of the Teplodarsky City Court of Odesa Oblast; Pavlo Medentsev, judge of the Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast; Lidiya Repina, judge of the Kyiv Appellate Commercial Court; and Svetlana Rebristaya, judge of the Commercial Court of Sevastopol and temporarily on the staff of judges of the Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast.
Of the 37 judges from Donbas, 13 are from the Luhansk District Administrative Court, 10 are from the Appellate Court of Luhansk Oblast, two are from the Donetsk Appellate Administrative Court, and seven are from the Donetsk District Administrative Court. One judge each from the Leninsky District Court of Luhansk, the Amvrosiyevsky District Court of Donetsk Oblast, the Gornyatsky District Court of Makiivka, the Khartsyz City Court of Donetsk Oblast, and the Budenovsky District Court of Donetsk also refused to undergo background checks.
Let us recall that the day before, in an interview with Channel 5, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Pavlo Petrenko (Read more about it in the article Pavel Petrenko, the "pocket" boy of the Yatsenyuk "Family") stated that 40 judges did not submit documents as part of the lustration audit.
