On September 14, at the Petro Poroshenko Bloc congress, Oleksandra Pavlenko was nominated as a candidate for People's Deputy in the 221st constituency. This was reported by espreso.tv.
According to the publication, this is yet another candidate with a questionable biography who unexpectedly found himself in the pro-government political force.
Specifically, Oleksandra Pavlenko is the daughter of former Lytvyn Bloc MP Serhiy Pavlenko, who distinguished himself, among other things, by voting for the "anti-faith law." Media reports suggest he is a member of the informal group of Party of Regions oligarch Vasyl Khmelnytsky, well-known to Kyiv residents for his "collaboration" with former Mayor Chernovetsky.
According to the publication, Ms. Alexandra has an impressive track record. She became a partner in a law firm at the age of 22, and founded her own firm at 25. In 2010, Pavlenko served as an advisor and representative to the Central Election Commission of Ukrainian presidential candidate Serhiy Tihipko.
In 2012, he was a representative of Natalia Korolevska’s party “Ukraine – Forward” in the Central Election Commission!
In a 2012 investigation, renowned journalist Sergei Leshchenko dubbed her "Akhmetov's man" within Korolevskaya's ranks. At the time, Pavlenko was an advisor to Dmitry Tevelev, the chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, who is directly connected to Akhmetov. Pavlenko's firm positions itself as an effective intermediary in resolving matters related to the National Commission.
Among the well-known and high-profile projects Alexandra Pavlenko managed was the lawsuit brought by the Russian airline Siberia against the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. Pavlenko represented the Russian side in the case of the Tu-154 plane crash, which killed 78 people on October 4, 2001. Pavlenko also represented Pinchuk in a high-profile case involving the protection of his assets in the metals sector. This conflict involved the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant.
