The Kyiv-based agricultural holding company Agrain has alleged falsification of criminal charges against company officials for fraud. This was stated in a letter distributed on behalf of attorney Serhiy Topchiy, a representative of the Cyprus-based Radosar Trading Limited, which owns 50% of Agrain Holding Limited's shares.

"All criminal cases against Agrain's management were falsified. One of the cases was closed, as document forgery by law enforcement was proven," the statement noted.
According to it, all changes in the holding's management structure were entered into the Unified Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs.
It is reported that the amount of claims from law enforcement agencies, 500 million hryvnias, matches the value of the agricultural holding's harvest, which the prosecutor's office investigative team has been trying to seize for the past two months.
The letter specifies that the sole shareholder of all Ukrainian enterprises of the holding is the company "Agrain Holding Limited", whose shareholders, in turn, in equal shares of 50% each are Cypriot citizen Nikos-Alekos Nicolaou and "Radosar Trading Limited" (Cyprus).
As Capital reported, the Kyiv prosecutor's office previously notified six Agrain officials of suspicion of abuse of office and fraud, resulting in losses to the holding company totaling more than 500 million hryvnia.
As part of the investigation into this case, the court seized 100 tons of the holding's grain.
Previously, the Kyiv prosecutor's office closed a criminal case against the agricultural holding company "Agrain" regarding the provision of financial assistance to representatives of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" due to a lack of evidence.
The investigation established that the documents on the basis of which the case for financing separatism was opened were falsified during searches of the company's office on August 11, and the signatures were forged.
The holding is engaged in crop production, breeding and commercial pig farming, as well as dairy and beef cattle breeding, cultivating 130 thousand hectares of land in five regions – Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Cherkasy – and owns four elevator complexes with a capacity of 330 thousand tons of grain storage at a time.
