According to Channel 112, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, the Lybid Hotel has been seized. Several floors of the hotel were allegedly seized by fighters from the Aidar Battalion. No further details are currently known, but law enforcement officers have arrived at the scene.
It has emerged that the men in camouflage are allegedly connected to businessman Mstislav Skorobogatov. As a reminder, property disputes surrounding the hotel have been ongoing since 2009. Mstislav Skorobogatov, a co-owner of the Lybid Hotel, took out a $16 million loan secured by the hotel and failed to repay it. The hotel was transferred to RBC Bank. BPP MP Ruslan Demchak is known to be associated with this bank.
The people who seized the hotel in the morning, according to police, were trying to interfere with bailiffs.
