Journalists from the “Schemes” program explained how the party in the region works and pays for its investment.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the remaining hours of confusion are abundantly justified through public connections with connections with oligarchs. Having said that, this is the political force of the Popular Front, which works in the interests of great businessmen, and not the people, which the authorities represent. The undercurrents in the political power of the Prime Minister and what they themselves bring to the Ukrainians, were investigated by the journalists of the “Schemes” program, a joint project of Radio Liberty and the First Suspended.
How the scheme itself works with the government is visible through the warehouse and work of the Popular Front faction near the Verkhovna Rada. The party is calling on a friend for the size of the faction in parliament after the presidential one. There are 81 people's deputies at this place. Which, at times, is entirely enough for some decisions to be blocked and others to be lobbied.
The structure of this political force has been dismantled. It so happened that the Popular Front was created as a political technology project before the parliamentary elections last fall.
“This format of the adopted party federation, inter-party grouping, was successfully implemented in the “Popular Front”. “There are active leaders there, about which deputies of the parliamentary faction have united, and the position between the factions,” said the head of the Center for Applied Political Research “Penta” Volodymyr Fesenko.
Intellectually, the “People's Front” can be seen to have a low group: the part is in parliament, the rest is in the royal government.
The most popular – this group of “friends” of the prime minister – is admired in parliament by Andriy Ivanchuk, an old friend of Arseniy Petrovich from his student days.
Another is the group of Mikoli Martinenko, the unspoken leader of the Energoatom state enterprise and the “eternal” head of the energy committee.
The team of Andriy Parubiy, the vice-speaker of the parliament, is mainly composed of “Maidan Self-Defense”. Next is the group of Oleksandr Turchynov, before which the Verkhovna Rada includes, for example, Sergey Pashinsky and his satellites. Behind them, shoulder-to-shoulder, is Minister Arsen Avakov: since the Kharkiv businessman, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, having selected for himself combatants and partners in large business, for example Igora Kotvitsky.
In the surrounding team you can see the officials - Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko, his colleague at the law firm, and the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Anna Onishchenko, Deputy Prime Minister at the same time of the Minister of Culture Vyacheslav Kirilenko.
I can’t bring some of the deputies to the group of their interests, so they often “push the button” “behind the authorities.”
Most of the skin groups also have business interests. And then people’s deputies act as real shareholders: invest money in the activities of the party, and then withdraw dividends. At the same time, Yatsenyuk himself categorically revealed any connections with the oligarchs in his letter to “Schemes”.
“On the lists of the political party Popular Front there is no more than one deputy as well as one oligarch. And this is proof of the validity of political influx,” explained the Prime Minister’s press service.
However, an analysis of the work of the “Popular Front” and its internal leaders shows a different picture.

Sergiy Pashinsky represents the title of “power bloc”. The Verkhovna Rada has a committee on national security and defense. His other activity became the subject of journalistic and huge investigations through a marvelous scheme of seizing, seized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the petroleum products of the odious young oligarch Sergiy Kurchenko. It was collected through low companies connected with his long-time friend and business partner Serhiy Tishchenko.
“This thing, which was arrested as part of a criminal investigation, which was then unconsciously assessed, was immediately transferred to state enterprises and was imprisoned. Sold at a much lower price than the market price. The state did not take every single penny from the mine sold, there are thousands of tons of petroleum products,” explains Daria Kalenyuk, the former director of the Anti-Corruption Center.
The corruption of this warehouse is obvious, experts explain, but the sales of these assets have not yet been investigated. This means a lot of supply, since the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been aware of the equipment from the very beginning. Bazi, who was saved from the arrest, squashed the Kiev-1 defense battalion, controlled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. So all the operations were carried out right “under the nose” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and, in power, their colleague – “people’s frontist” Arsen Avakov. It was not possible to trace or investigate this situation. It’s hard to believe that Pashinsky and Avakov are on the same page.

Avakov himself has been involved in corruption scandals more than once. Thus, people’s deputy Sergey Leshchenko published information about the equipment on the 25th of Wednesday, for which Avakov’s ally, deputy Igor Kotvitsky, paid 40 million dollars in Panama for 40 million dollars – and at the same time a billion hryvnias, Some of these things belong to Avakov. The Minister of Internal Affairs did not hesitate to call Leshchenok a manipulator.
“Kotvitsky, in the administration of Leshchenko, seriously pay taxes. For example, for the past river Kotvitsky paid 32 million hryvnia in taxes. Everything else is manipulation on par with the fact that “Avakov wants to start a new political career, because I need money,” said Avakov.
This story is one of the main behind-the-scenes corruption scandals in politics, which was first brought to the public square by the “Schemes” program, which revealed that People’s Deputy Kotvitsky had retroactively declared as much as a billion hryvnia on your banknotes. And this is 40 million dollars - the same amount, according to Serhiy Leshchenko, Kotvitsky-Avakov, and was sent to Panama this year.
Mikola Martinenko
Mikola Martinenko, another of Yatsenyuk’s supremacist party members, is called an unofficial official of Energoatom, a state monopoly that controls all nuclear power plants in Ukraine. This business is a varied intermediary and service associated with Energoatom.
“Before Martinenko, direct connections are even more difficult to trace, without being in the hands of the instrument of operational-sound and secret investigative actions,” says Daria Kalenyuk, the new director of the Anti-Corruption Center. – Martinenko, the most important specialized committee has structures that are rapidly working on nuclear energy and around the entire state company Energoatom.
The financial activities of the “nuclear” deputy are already being investigated by law enforcement officers abroad. There is information about the shady Swiss prosecutor's office - the defrauding of 30 million francs for shells in Switzerland from the Czech Skoda plant, which was lost in a row at Energoatom. Investigators there confirmed this to deputy Serhiy Leshchenko.
However, Martinenko is not simple.
“On the right, the food they speculate on the channels is falsified in the thoughts of the actual oligarchs. I haven’t commented, I’ve learned about the process, but there’s nothing left to talk about,” says Martinenko.
Leonid Yurushev
A faction is not a single tool for winning money. So oligarch Leonid Yurushev, for example, has good connections in the Cabinet. The company “BF and GH Travel Retail LTD” recently won a contract for 10 years, for which it will rent space at the Boryspil airport for duty-free shops. This is an extremely profitable business for the whole world.
5 companies applied for the competition in 2014. Among them is one of the leaders of the world, the Swiss Dufry. All the minds were written in such a way that every foreign company has no small chance - including the proof of work in Ukraine.
“BF and GH Travel Retail LTD”, registered in the Boryspil region in the Kiev region with the Cypriot rulers, is one of the two participating companies. She also took the largest territory for rent - over 2 thousand square meters. Another 750 square meters, according to tradition, were taken by Kiivrianta LLC, which inevitably rents space in Boryspil.
Swiss Dufry immediately protested and wrote a letter to the prime minister.
“The approval of the conduct of the competition, and the fact that the work in Ukraine itself, in the opinion of the applicant, will give priority to certain subjects of the state, such as placing them at the privileged position of one hundred hundred competitors, which will lead to the abolition of competition without the need for proper bases. In addition, it is actually impossible for the applicant to win due to the fact that no competitions were held before,” says the sheet.
Ale Yatsenyuk did not help the Swiss. It is possible that BF and GH Travel Retail LTD is much closer. This company is registered at the same address as Yurushev’s other company. For the rest of the day, we financed Yatsenyuk’s election campaign. In written comments to Schemes, Yatsenyuk’s press service simply reveals any significant assets and business assets from wealth. Catering for the competition at the airport is called the competence of only the Sovereign Main Fund.

Andriy Ivanchuk is a friend of Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s youth. All at once, the stench began to permeate Yatsenyuk’s “Change Front” party. The private office is run by Leonid Yurushev himself. However, Ivanchuk is not only related to him: he is a representative of the interests of the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
This figure is good for him, and even Ivanchuk and Kolomoisky have a big business – the journalist himself learned about the rest from the “Schemes” program.
Let's talk about the company "Techinservis", which is engaged in the production of bioethanol, which burns the plant. The current director of the Techinservice company, Vasyl Paliychuk, is Ivanchuk’s great partner in the Volodymyr-Volinsky sugar plant. Andriy Ivanchuk himself, despite direct knowledge of Kolomoisky, was hesitant to publicly reveal his connection with the oligarch.
“As for the statements of the great politicians, I respect that they are to blame for commenting on them themselves, I cannot comment on who to say,” Ivanchuk said.
Kolomoisky’s trace in the robotic party, when pressed, can be noted. However, there may be a vote on changes to the law on shareholder fees, which would take away from Kolomoisky control over the sovereign nafta company “Ukrnafta”, depriving him of a minority share, but controlling the management. I will remove the Popular Front from the session hall without giving a vote for the project. We explain that the document is not complete enough. Over the years, the government has prepared its own version of the bill.
“The Cabinet of Ministers, in essence, is trying to prepare a correct bill. And they were preparing him. It would seem that no one cares anymore to vote for this document, since it has already improved due to the order itself. However, since the bill passed parliament, the head of the relevant committee, Ivanchuk, Yatsenyuk’s closest ally, stopped electing his committee,” says Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 Consulting Group.
In fact, Ivanchuk himself blocked the introduction of the bill on the order of days and protected Kolomoisky from losing control over the enterprise.
Kolomoisky’s later interest manifested itself in Yatsenyuk’s initiative to create a single vertically interconnected nafta company with the participation of state-owned enterprises and the Kremenchuk oil refinery plant, which would belong to the oligarch, who is Mav. It’s a good deal with such a company, according to the words of Galusi experts.
So the prime minister's political forces can speak for themselves. The only way for Yatsenyuk and the “People's Front” to truly show their independence from party funds is to actually date the investigation of everyone calling to their address. This will include a legal assessment of their activities. And let the politician be elected in the future
parliamentary elections.
