Activists are demanding the lustration of former Ukroboronprom head Gromov.

ukroboronpromCivil society activists have appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office (GPU) demanding an investigation into the activities of former Ukroboronprom head Serhiy Gromov, who led the state-owned enterprise for a long time during Yanukovych's presidency.

Activists are outraged that Mr. Gromov is negotiating with Ukroboronprom to provide loans to the Ukrainian defense company. Gromov is currently one of the heads of VTB Bank in Ukraine.

It is currently known that Mr. Gromov has not been subjected to a lustration check and has not been charged with embezzlement at Ukroboronprom.

Activists claimed that Gromov is known as the "family's" paymaster at Ukroboronprom. He is implicated in the NOUR M vessel scandal, the illegal trade in armored vehicles, and is involved in organizing kickbacks at Ukroboronprom. This was reported by public figure Serhiy Malyatko to rupor.info.

As a reminder, Serhiy Gromov headed the state-owned enterprise Ukroboronprom from 2012 to February 2014. Gromov currently serves on the supervisory boards of the strategic Ukrainian state-owned defense enterprises PJSC Kyiv Plant Radar and State Joint-Stock Holding Company Artem. He is also a top manager at the Russian bank VTB in Ukraine.
