The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is preventing DCH Yaroslavsky from acquiring KhTZ.

amkuFor the third time in a row, the AMCU (Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine) has returned to Oleksandr Yaroslavsky's DCH Group a package of documents that would have completed the acquisition of Kharkiv Tractor Plant (HTZ). This was reported by Yaroslavsky's company's press service.

It is known that on April 27, 2016, the DCH Group acquired 62,44% of KhTZ shares. However, some of the acquired shares were not subject to Ukrainian antitrust laws.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has reportedly imposed unusually high requirements on the package of documents required by DCH Group to finalize the registration of its shares in KhTZ. "The third return of documents for the acquisition of the Kharkiv plant suggests a biased attitude toward the investor," stated KhTZ Acting CEO Vyacheslav Shevchenko. He believes that the AMCU's approval is a prerequisite for providing a credit line for the plant. This step will ensure timely tax payments to the budget and the payment of KhTZ workers' wages.
