The AMCU sued Nemiroff for UAH 400 thousand.

courtAllRetail.ua reports that the Vinnytsia Regional Commercial Court, in response to a lawsuit filed by the Antimonopoly Committee, ordered a subsidiary of UVK Nemiroff to pay a 200 hryvnia fine for violating economic competition, as well as a 200 hryvnia penalty for late payment.

This case was opened last December. Since the Ukrainian subsidiary of UVK Nemiroff has been in bankruptcy since June, a third party, an insolvency administrator whose name has not been disclosed, was brought in to resolve the dispute.

Despite the defendant's objections regarding the inability to pay the fine due to the freezing of their accounts, the court upheld the AMCU's claim, taking into account the increased claims. The defendant was notified of this in September. By law, the fine had to be paid within two months, but Nemiroff Medical Center failed to do so. Since the payment deadline expired on November 10, 2014, and the defendant failed to provide the AMCU with proof of payment or evidence of an appeal, current legislation requires a penalty of 1,5% of the fine for each day of delay, but the penalty cannot exceed the fine's amount. Therefore, from November 11, 2014, to January 16, 2015, a penalty of UAH 201 was assessed for 67 days. In addition to the fine and penalty, Nemiroff Medical Center is also charged UAH 8 in court fees. All amounts are transferred to the state budget.

As a reminder, the conflict between Nemiroff Vodka Limited shareholders began in 2010. One of the members of the supervisory board, the Glus family, wanted to see Alla Glus as the general director of the subsidiary of UVK Nemiroff. The shareholders Yakov Gribov and Anatoly Kipish They attempted to appoint Yuri Sorochinsky to this position. Both sides are still defending their right to produce vodka under the Nemiroff brand in court.
