The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has approved the sale of 50% of Alpari Bank PJSC shares to an unidentified individual resident of Ukraine. This was announced in a statement on the AMCU's official website.
However, the announcement does not include the full name of the individual who will purchase the property. The AMCU has also not commented to the media on this matter.
It is known that as of early 2013, Alpari Bank's owners were Ukrainian citizens: 54% of the shares belonged to Olga Maksimenko, 40% to Andriy Bryukhovetsky, and 6% to Andriy Perkal. By the end of 2014, 99,9% of the financial institution's shares belonged to Anastasia Abramova, through the legal company "Bystraya Legal Aid" LLC.
In April 2015, the NBU suspended Anastasia Abramova from managing the financial institution for violating the law. The regulator cited Abramova's acquisition of a significant stake in the bank without proper approval.
Alpari Bank was founded on October 26, 2012. As of July 1, 2015, the financial institution ranked 124th among 127 banks operating in the country, with assets of UAH 147,08 million.
