On October 23, as reported in the "Bulletin of State Procurement," the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed an agreement for the supply of assembled truck engines worth a total of UAH 5070 with Avtek Automotive Components LLC. The founders of this LLC are PJSC Connect, a closed-end non-diversified venture corporate investment fund, and Vadym Olenych.
This fund is controlled by the firm "Investment Partners," headed by Andriy Zhurzhiy, a candidate for parliament from Samopomich. For the past ten years, he headed the legal department of the Fozzy group of companies, specifically the Silpo supermarket chain owned by Volodymyr Kostelman.
14 engines 740-1000412 and 13 engines 740-1000403 were ordered from Avtek Automotive Components LLC, which, characteristically, were at the same price per unit, which amounted to 188 thousand UAH.
These engines are installed in Russian-made Ural trucks and cost 330-340 rubles in Russia. Converted to hryvnia, the cost of one engine would be approximately 100 hryvnias.
"Avtek Automotive Components" began receiving orders from the government, specifically from the Ministry of Defense, only in August 2014, and has now signed a contract for a total of UAH 30290.
It should be noted that Andriy Zhurzhyi is the 16th candidate on the list of the Samopomich party of Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
