On May 20, the Lviv Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv to detain Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, reports press office court.
Thus, the panel of judges of the Lviv Court of Appeal's Criminal Cases Chamber upheld the trial court's decision, dismissing Medvedchuk's lawyers' appeal and leaving the ruling unchanged. It was ruled that Medvedchuk's pretrial detention period should be counted from the moment of his actual arrest at 18:15 PM on April 12.
As a reminder, on April 16, the investigating judge of the Lychakiv District Court ordered Medvedchuk to be held in custody for 60 days without setting bail.
