The arrest at the Naftogazdobycha oil field was lifted after 5 days.

courtBy a decision of the Pechersky District Court on a claim filed by a representative of Naftogazdobycha OJSC, the seizure of hydrocarbons extracted from the Semirenkovskoye field in the Poltava region was lifted today.

The petition was filed by the company's lawyer. He stated that the seizure is complicating the company's operations. It should be noted that the seizure was ordered on June 26 as part of a criminal investigation into the kidnapping of the company's former CEO, Oleg Seminsky. The lawyer also noted that investigators failed to provide evidence of damages.

The corresponding decision was announced by Judge Kateryna Moskalenko of Kyiv's Pechersky District Court on December 9. On December 14, another judge of the same Pechersky District Court, Larisa Tsokol, overturned the previous decision to lift the seizure. However, the company's representatives requested that the petition be dismissed, given that the seizure had been lifted five days earlier.

As a reminder, Naftogazdobycha is part of DTEK, the energy holding company owned by Rinat Akhmetov. The company itself has not yet commented on this.
