On the eve of local elections across Ukraine, formerly implacable enemies are sometimes finding themselves on the same side of the barricades. For example, artist, talk show participant, Automaidan protester, and regular fixture on the parliamentary sidelines, Serhiy Poyarkov, has found himself on the list of the "For Concrete Deeds" party.
The piquancy of the situation is that it is headed by Galina and Alexander Gerega, who were previously members of the Party of Regions (Read more about them in the article How the Gereg family successfully manages to "pull" all Kyiv residents).
In 2013-2014, Poyarkov and Automaidan repeatedly staged pickets outside the Epicenter chain of stores, which belonged to the Gerega family. At the time, they were considered representatives of the "criminal regime."
Clearly, what's at stake today is a long-term and fruitful collaboration between the former adversaries. However, the party has not commented on the former Automaidan activist's evasions.
