The public organization "Rule of Law" continues to highlight problems in passenger transportation in the Odessa region. This time, the activists met with representatives of transport companies in the Tatarbunary, Bolgrad, and Kiliya districts of the Odessa region, where they received interesting information about corporate raids on the route network. According to carriers, the companies involved in the raids seizing the region's route networks are Avtotrans Ukraine LLC and Pospolita Service, and the Department of Maritime Industry, Transport, and Communications of the Odessa Regional State Administration is assisting them in their efforts.
As Konstantin Dimoglov, director of the Tatarbunary district bus depot, told activists, the main problem his company faces is being denied entry into the carrier tender held by the Odessa Regional State Administration. The company was disqualified from the previous tender due to unpaid fines, which, according to the director, they only learned about during the tender itself. However, despite being disqualified from the tender, the company's vehicles and drivers continue to operate on the same routes, having signed contracts with the winner of the tender, who, as it later turned out, has no vehicles or fleet of his own.
Gennady Burduzha, director of the Kiliya Motor Transport Company, supported his colleague and informed the activists that the company, which won the competition, does not have its own base in the district or its own buses. Also of interest is the fact that, since the winning company is based in Odesa, drivers in their own buses must travel from Kiliya to Odesa to undergo medical and technical inspections, and then return, which in no way contributes to road safety.
