The assets of the liquidated Kyiv bank Forum were sold at auction by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. The auction raised over 2,5 million hryvnias.
This information was released by the Ukrainian Universal Exchange.
The bank's cars, computer and office equipment, and various other items were up for auction. The auction was highly competitive, with some lots seeing a 30% increase in starting prices.
Forum is far from the first bank to be liquidated in Ukraine this year. A temporary administration was in place at Forum Bank from March 14 to June 13, after which the decision was made to liquidate the financial institution. It's also worth noting that the assets of Forum's owner, oligarch Vadym Novinsky, amounting to almost 4,5 billion hryvnias, were previously seized by court order.
A similar outcome befell Brokbusinessbank (owner Sergey Kurchenko), whose assets will soon be sold off.
For his part, Andrey Shevchenko, a representative of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, stated that the Fund invites everyone to participate in the auction, and the auction itself is being conducted in a transparent manner.
Let us recall that Novinsky remains in Ukraine to this day, while Kurchenko has moved to Russia.
