Ukraine's banking system: what has changed in the past week

1. Banks have begun to raise interest rates on deposits.
Ukrainian banks responded to the increase in the National Bank of Ukraine's key interest rate (and the subsequent increase in the cost of refinancing loans) and began actively raising interest rates on deposits.

Bank Sich went even further: for 31-day deposits, it offers 19% per annum, and for 62- and 92-day deposits (i.e., two and three months), it offers 18% per annum.
Bank "Avangard" accepts deposits for a period of 1 month at 17% per annum.
RwSbank offers a "Victory" deposit for 3 months at 18,5% per annum. 0,5% of the deposit amount is donated to the army.
Sportbank Starting June 13, the interest rate on the "Backpack" savings account will be raised to 10% per annum; the interest rate on the one-month deposit will increase to 14% per annum, and for two months, to 15% per annum.
The only medium and large bank that decided to increase deposit rates was TascombankFor deposits with terms of six months or more, it offers interest rates of 13% per annum when opened at a branch, and 14% when opened through the TAS2U mobile app.
2. Banking system of Ukraine: Another Ukrainian bank may be declared insolvent

3. Forward Bank has updated its cash withdrawal rates.

About payment cards and pension cards CoCo Card Cash withdrawals remain free of charge at both cash desks and ATMs in Ukraine and abroad.
4. Banks are tightening the conditions for using their cards abroad
Sportbank As of June 7, the commission for cash withdrawals outside of Ukraine from the bank's own funds increased by 0,9% to 2,9%. The commission for issuing credit funds remained unchanged at 4,9%.
5. Globus Bank has changed the rates for the Globus Plus card.
As of June 13, the bank changed its card-to-card transfer rates. Previously, transfers of up to UAH 100000 per month to cards of other banks were commission-free, but as of June 13, transfers of up to UAH 10000 are limited. All subsequent transfers will incur a 0,5% commission.
The commission for cash withdrawals from ATMs and bank tellers from a card account has been set at 1% (previously, no commission).
