Verkhovna Rada Deputy Boryslav Bereza stated that Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pivovarskyi could lose his position due to the appointment of Oleksandr Zavgorodniy as acting general director of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Bereza noted that Minister Pivovarsky has become a pawn in someone else's game, for which he could pay with his own position as early as this fall.

As a reminder, according to media reports published yesterday, Mr. Zavgorodniy lobbied for several companies registered to the official's relatives. Contracts from Ukrzaliznytsia were awarded to Sferastroy Invest, which inflated the cost of work for the Pridneprovsk Railway by hundreds of thousands of hryvnias. A.S. Engineering Group, also close to Zavgorodniy, has still not paid the railway for transportation services.

What about Lozhkin and his henchman Beilin? They were the ones who started all this.
