The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has completed the pre-trial investigation into the criminal case Alexander Shepelev Violations, including the execution and signing of fictitious lease agreements by Rodovid PJSC officials and Galina Shepeleva between July 2009 and March 2010, under which the bank transferred UAH 18,458,420 to Shepeleva's account, which they disposed of at their own discretion. This is stated in the response of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine to a request from the publication "Fakty."
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the procedure for familiarizing the accused with the criminal case materials has been initiated. Due to the escape of Alexander Shepelev on July 06, 2014, the pre-trial investigation has been suspended. A pre-trial investigation into the escape has been opened, and details of the investigation have been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. Shepelev has been placed on the wanted list.
The prosecutor's office refused to provide information on other issues raised in the media's request.
At the same time, Fakty journalists claim that 300 million hryvnias, withdrawn from Rodovid Bank by the Shepelevs, also ended up directly in the accounts of Galina Shepeleva, who is currently under house arrest.
"Initially, the funds were deposited into the accounts of Briarey lawyers Denis Badzyuk and Alexey Levchenko as a 'fee,' and a few hours later, they were quickly cashed, converted into dollars, and deposited into the accounts of Galina Shepeleva, her mother, Larisa Kuznetsova, and her son, Mikhail Shepelev. They became, so to speak, their 'personal savings.' As Sergei Dyadechko explained at a press conference, the money was transferred from these accounts to the Cypriot offshore company Pro-Mark Savers Club Limited, which services Alexander Shepelev. From this offshore company, in turn, it was transferred to the accounts of Aerotech Management Limited and Ledoyen Holdings Limited (both controlled by Galina Shepeleva) at the Swiss bank Pictet & Co Bankers. Moreover, the Shepelevs managed to conceal the true origins of the funds from the bank's financial monitoring services by providing Pictet & Co Bankers with fictitious documents regarding the sources of funds," the publication states.
A certain amount of money skillfully siphoned off from Rodovid also went to ICD Investments, a company controlled by businessman Sergei Kasyanov.
