Boris Prikhodko
Were you shocked by Arbuzov's unblocked accounts? Then this information is for you. Recently, and very quietly, Sorkin's deputy head of the National Bank, Borys Prikhodko, was released. Prikhodko was sensationally arrested this summer on suspicion of "evaporating" two billion hryvnias from the budget. The National Bank transferred the money to Brokbusinessbank, owned by a young family oligarch.
And now Prikhodko is doing just fine. He's eating well. We even had a chat while he was chewing. Things get even more interesting. Donbas didn't flee empty-handed. Family bankers, whoever they could, donated as much as they could to the Kremlin refugees. For example, the chairman of the board of the state-owned Ukrgasbank, Serhiy Mamedov. According to our sources, on February 14 (when Yanukovych's gang was scrambling to pack their bags), Ukrgasbank decided to lend Brokbusinessbank 673 million hryvnias. Clearly, no one ever repaid that money. And why? The state won't become poor.
But that's far from the end of the adventures of the "family volunteer" Mamedov and the simple (as Yanukovych thought) businessman Kurchenko. Our sources report that Ukrgasbank provided another 55 million as a loan to a number of interesting companies, guaranteed by Real Bank. This bank is also linked to the young oligarch.
The "freed" Prikhodko refused to give an interview. Serhiy Mamedov, chairman of the board of the state-owned Ukrgasbank, also declined to answer. In the story about the adventures of the family's bankers, we learned only about a few "schemes." Imagine how much the Prosecutor General's Office could dig up, if it so chose. We're still waiting for a response from the Prosecutor General's Office and, just in case, we'll reiterate the questions:
— Why did they release Boris Prikhodko?
— Who posted bail for Boris Prikhodko?
— How does Mr. Mamedov manage to avoid responsibility for millions of dollars in loans to Kurchenko?
— From whom, other than Mr. Mamedov, can one “cheaply” buy an entire sanatorium?
