Former Kyiv Oblast Deputy Prosecutor Oleksandr Korniets, who is suspected of extortion and bribery, stated that he is being forcibly brought to court.

According to him, the judge practically begged Korniyets's lawyer to bring him to court. The former deputy prosecutor also stated that he could be given a higher bail.

As a result of today's hearing, a decision was made to postpone the hearing until November 19, as Korniets is undergoing treatment for a hypertensive crisis. Following a motion from the defense, the judge acknowledged the defendant's absence as valid, but stated that Korniets should nevertheless appear in court after receiving medical attention.

It's worth noting that the "diamond prosecutor" previously stated he had no money for bail. It's also worth noting that on July 5, during a search of Korniyets' office and the home of Vladimir Shapakin, the first deputy head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office, documents, money, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, and the infamous diamonds were found.
