Serhiy Buyadzhi has been appointed acting head of the Main Directorate for the Protection of Aquatic Bioresources in Kyiv. This was reported by Timer, and information about this has been posted on the department's official website.

Journalists note that Sergei Buyadzha has a very scandalous reputation. He has been accused of protecting the Alliance construction pyramid, raiding the Black Sea Shipping Service company, and more. According to media reports, the prosecutor is the son-in-law of the owner of an antique store that sells stolen items.
In particular, as Khrabro reported, "Buyok" began his prosecutorial career with the help of his father, Anatoly Buyadzha, the owner of the private enterprise "Professional," which was founded and operates exclusively at the Priportovyi Zavod. He focused exclusively on corruption, specializing in metalworking. Buyadzha Jr.'s rise within the prosecutor's office began after he placed his bets on the "orange" faction before Yushchenko's arrival, signing a collective agreement for Yushchenko.
Following this, the prosecutor "moved" to Yanukovych's team and, allegedly, "Buek," actively robbed and blackmailed his hometown of Odessa: he oversaw the financial construction pyramid "Alliance," owned by his friend S.V. Kononov, leaving thousands of families out in the open.
Furthermore, Buyadzha's opponents accused him of opening and closing contract criminal cases for huge sums of money, blackmailing honest entrepreneurs whose businesses were of interest to the "buyadzha" or his friends, and providing protection and doing business with Russian gangsters. The prosecutor was also accused of orchestrating a hostile takeover of a major Odessa enterprise, Black Sea Shipping Service, whose director, Valery Basov, was kidnapped and most likely murdered.
