Former head of the Ministry of Ecology Zlochevsky illegally received forests for use for almost half a century.

Former Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevsky has protected forests on the shores of the Kyiv Reservoir at his disposal. The rent charged for using these resources is significantly below market rates, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Zlochevsky

In 2010, Anatoliy Prysyazhnyuk, the chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, granted four forest plots between the Kyiv Reservoir and the bypass canal, totaling 14,5 hectares, to the "Klyuchi" gardening association. This land, including the forest, was granted for temporary use for 49 years to create a recreation area. The director of this "Klyuchi" gardening association is a certain Yevhen Yevhenovych Marchevsky. It turns out he is also the director of "Bolshie Klyuchi" LLC, on whose property are located the enormous Romanesque-style buildings owned by Zlochevsky. Seven hectares of state-owned forest are fenced off with the former minister's private estates. This is a violation of the law, which guarantees citizens the right to freely access forests.
As previously reported, journalists conducted aerial video footage of former Minister Zlochevsky's estate and identified two fortress-like houses. They have access to water, although construction in the area is prohibited by law. It was also revealed that the Khotyanivka village council, where the plots are located, receives 86 hryvnias per year for the use of 14 hectares of forest.
