On April 21, 2021, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau under the procedural guidance of the SAP informed the former managers and officials of the state-owned enterprise DGZIF Ukrinmash (part of the State Concern Ukroboronprom) of suspicion of embezzlement of more than 140 thousand euros, reports press office NABU.
The investigation established that, during 2014-2015, Ukrinmash's management organized the export of products manufactured at other Ukroboronprom enterprises through a private company whose ultimate beneficiary was an individual with a friendly relationship with one of the state-owned enterprise's top managers. Ukrinmash entered into an agency agreement with this company to handle a foreign trade contract, for which it regularly received funds from Ukrinmash.
However, as the investigation established, the relevant services were not actually provided, and work completion certificates were falsified with the participation of Ukrinmash officials. Overall, the investigation established that between 2014 and 2015, Ukroboronprom illegally transferred over 140 euros to a private company, which, at the NBU exchange rate, amounts to almost UAH 3490000," the report states.
It is noted that the NABU and SAP began investigating the above-mentioned facts in the spring of 2018, based on their own findings. The current management of Ukroboronprom is cooperating with the investigation and is helping to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
