According to Interfax-Ukraine, Mykola Golomsha, former deputy head of the Prosecutor General's Office under Vitaliy Yarema, has filed a lawsuit in the Kyiv Administrative Court seeking reinstatement.
"Yesterday I registered and filed a claim. I'm currently awaiting a hearing and will be preparing for the case to be heard in court," Golomsha said.
Mykola Golomsha himself believes his dismissal from office was illegal. He justified this by citing the Constitution, labor law, and the law "On the Purification of Power." Yarema's dismissed deputy is certain he is not subject to the lustration law, given that, as deputy head of the Prosecutor General's Office, he always opposed the Yanukovych regime. Golomsha also believes that before dismissing an official, according to Article 5 of the law "On the Purification of Power," an investigation into the suspected official's activities is required. However, there was not even a hint of an investigation. Therefore, Golomsha is convinced he was lustrated unfairly.
As is known, at the end of October, Vitaly Yarema dismissed Nikolai Golomsha from the post of First Deputy Prosecutor General.
