The Dutch company Salazie BV acquired a 25% stake in Naftogazdobycha, which is part of Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK holding company.
DTEK's subsidiary, DTEK Oil & Gas B.V., increased its stake in the company's authorized capital from 36,6475% to 55%. DTEK Oil & Gas B.V. is also based in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, the Cypriot companies Foloux Consulting Limited and Wolford Holdings Limited reduced their stakes in Naftogazvydobuvannya from 25% to 15% and from almost 17% to 0,0001%, respectively. Vediston Management Limited, which previously owned almost 17% of the shares, withdrew from the company's shareholder list.
It should be noted that Foloux Consulting Limited is associated with MP Nestor Shufrich, Vediston Management Limited with former Party of Regions member Nikolai Rudkovsky, and Walford Holdings Limited with Rudkovsky and Akhmetov himself.
Interestingly, according to Igor Kononenko (BPP), in the early 2000s, the company "Naftogazvydobuvannya" was seized by raiders from the presidential business group "Ukrprominvest", but Poroshenko does not plan to return it.
In 2012, the company's assets were seized during criminal proceedings related to the disappearance of the company's former head, Oleg Seminsky, but in 2015 the court lifted the seizure.
It should be noted that the media is assessing such events as a hint to Akhmetov to “share” power.
