Part of the illegally leased land was returned to state ownership.

courtAccording to the press service of the Kyiv prosecutor's office, the prosecutor's office has won a lawsuit in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, seizing more than 3 hectares of land worth 15 hryvnias.

The Environmental Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the Kyiv Commercial Court demanding that the land lease agreement be terminated and that Kyiv Rubber and Latex Products Plant OJSC return the land to Kyiv ownership.

As a reminder, in 2007, the land on Amurskaya Street was leased long-term to the Kyiv Rubber and Latex Products Plant, an open joint-stock company, for the maintenance and operation of the plant's buildings and structures.

During the investigation, the prosecutor's office found that the plant had failed to pay rent. According to tax authorities, the capital's budget lost approximately 3 million hryvnias over four years. The court upheld the prosecutor's demands in full.

Also on Tuesday, December 16, the Kyiv City Council terminated 11 land lease agreements. Most of the terminated agreements were signed during the tenure of the city's controversial former mayor, Leonid Chernovetskyi.

Specifically, the City Council terminated the lease agreement with Ukrainian Standard LLC, which was leased a 1,53-hectare plot of land in Pobedy Park in the Dniprovskyi district in June 2007 for the construction of playgrounds and a catering establishment. The lease agreement for a 9,8-hectare plot of land in the Svyatoshinsky forest park (19 km of the Zhitomir Highway), which was transferred to MAK LLC at a controversial Kyiv City Council meeting on October 1, 2007, for the construction of a shopping and office center, was also terminated.
