People's Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko transferred a portion of the shares of the Plast company to a firm owned by managers of the group of fugitive former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

Oleksandr Onishchenko was previously a member of the Party of Regions faction. In the 8th Verkhovna Rada, he is a member of the "People's Will" group.

Onishchenko acquired Plast from David Zhvania in 2012. In the 2000s, the company was one of the largest private gas producers, but subsequently declined.

According to SMIDA, 20% of the shares of PJSC Plast were transferred to Novard Plus LLC in December 2014 due to a reduction in the shares of the Cypriot offshore company Ostexpert Limited.

The founder of Novard Plus is Konstantin Pivovarov and the Austrian company Garda Handels- und Beteiligungs GmbH, which owns the Metalist plant in Makiivka and a house in Vienna. Pivovarov was also vice president of Serhiy Kurchenko's Metalist football club. According to Ukrainska Pravda, the Azarov family transferred some of their property to Pivovarov after the imposition of sanctions. Konstantin Pivovarov served as Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction in Azarov's government since 2010. He also headed Saint Sophia Homes, the company that managed David Zhvania's Porto residential construction projects, for several years.

The director of Novard Plus is Larisa Pushkina, who headed Montodor Invest and Avangard Finance. These companies previously shared a common founder, Accord Finance LLC, owned by the aforementioned Austrian firm Garda, which was headed by the daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister Azarov.

Subsequently, the firm "Avangard Finance" was re-registered to the "Slavutich Charitable Foundation for the Promotion of Physical Culture and Sports" of Gleb Leshkov, who, under a power of attorney from Nikolai Azarov, sold the former prime minister's house in Pechersk.

The gas production company Plast holds 12 gas production licenses and earned a net profit of UAH 58 million in 2013. On March 5, 2014, a few days after Viktor Yanukovych's escape and the appointment of a new government, Plast PJSC signed an agreement with the state-owned Chornomornaftogaz to jointly develop the Arkhangelskoye and Strelkovoye gas fields. Former Plast Chairman of the Board, Oleksandr Somov, was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the state-owned enterprise Ukrgazvydobuvannya after the Maidan protests.
