Yesterday, the Cherkasy City Council held a session, at which deputies unanimously voted for the resignation of the current government led by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The corresponding appeal was submitted to Parliament by the Svoboda faction. Specifically, it stated that Yatsenyuk is being called for dismissal for failures in economic policy, his defense of oligarchs' interests, and his apparent unwillingness to combat corrupt officials.
Earlier, Odesa Oblast Governor Mikheil Saakashvili spoke of the prime minister's ties to corruption, and later, Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Oleh Barna began collecting signatures among MPs calling for Yatsenyuk's resignation. However, the People's Front claims that the resignation itself is unlikely.
