A Cherkasy food company may be declared bankrupt due to debts.

courtOn December 9, 2015, the Cherkasy Regional Commercial Court will hear the bankruptcy case against the Cherkasy Food Company. This was reported on the Judicial Authority of Ukraine website.

It is known that the Cherkasy Food Company is accused of owing creditors over 135 million hryvnias.

The company's creditors include the State Fiscal Service of the Cherkasy region, the Cherkasy State Tax Inspectorate, the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine, and the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine.

Creditors hope the court will declare Cherkasy Food Company bankrupt and initiate liquidation proceedings against it. Currently, the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee and property administrator are not allowed to work for the company. According to the publication, the debtor has thwarted all attempts to hold a creditors' meeting, and the bankruptcy case against Cherkasy Food Company has been dragging on for over four years.
