The court ordered the prosecutor to drop the case against Shepelev's wife.

The Pechersk District Court ordered the prosecutor to lift the arrest warrant against the wife of a former Verkhovna Rada deputy. Alexandra Shepeleva Galina and close the criminal proceedings against her.

This was stated in the court's ruling of September 25, the text of which is available to Ukrainian News.
The document states that the prosecutor was ordered to close the criminal case due to the lack of evidence of a criminal offense.
It is also envisaged that the seizure of the suspect’s property will be lifted.
Thus, the preventive measure against Shepeleva in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the city was lifted, and the bail in the amount of 6,116 million hryvnia was returned.
As reported, the Prosecutor General's Office suspects Galina Shepeleva of embezzling funds from Rodovid Bank.
At the end of March, Kyiv's Pechersky District Court ordered the suspect to post bail in the amount of 6,1 million hryvnias.
As a reminder, former BYuT and Party of Regions MP Oleksandr Shepelev escaped from the emergency room where he was being held, along with his guard, on the night of July 6.
The case against the former MP was opened in 2012. Shepelev was accused of involvement in the embezzlement of funds from Rodovid Bank in the amount of more than 220 million hryvnias, as well as of participating together with businessman Pavel Borulko (more about it: Pavel Borulko: A Forgotten Legend of Banking Fraud) in organizing the embezzlement of state funds for refinancing the National Bank in the amount of UAH 315,3 million in March-May 2009.
