The dismissal of former Odessa Oblast Prosecutor Mykola Stoyanov was overturned by a ruling of the Odessa District Administrative Court. The court also ordered his reinstatement. According to the ruling, the defendant—the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine—has the right to appeal this ruling within 10 days.
The Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that they have not yet received a copy of the court's ruling.
On Wednesday, December 10, Nikolai Stoyanov posted a copy of the Odessa District Administrative Court's decision, made on December 5, on his Facebook page.
In July, the Prosecutor General's Office press service reported that Stoyanov had submitted a letter of resignation. However, some time later, Stoyanov announced that he had challenged the order of his dismissal in court.

Stoyanov was appointed prosecutor of the Mykolaiv region by order of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine No. 810 dated June 17, 2005. In January 2004, during an investigation into election violations, he was transferred to the Prosecutor General's Office with disciplinary action. He was reappointed as Prosecutor of the Mykolaiv Oblast by Order No. 810 of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine dated June 17.06, 2005. He is a State Counselor of Justice, 3rd class.

He has a good business: he is the de facto owner of four restaurants in Odessa (registered to his wife). Real estate: a house in the Nikolaev region, a mansion in the Odessa region; an apartment and a villa in Spain. He also owns hunting grounds near Odessa and Kyiv.
