Delta Bank is establishing a temporary procedure for cash withdrawals from ATMs, specifically limiting cash withdrawals from payment cards. This was reported by the bank's press service.
Given the problems affecting the entire banking system and in the best interests of its clients, Delta Bank is taking temporary measures to increase cash turnover. To this end, a temporary limit of UAH 2,500 per day for cash withdrawals from Delta Bank payment cards at ATMs across Ukraine has been introduced, effective September 18, 2014. This temporary limitation is intended solely to ensure that as many of the bank's clients as possible can use ATM services. We hope that Delta Bank will soon lift these card limits.
Given the challenging situation in the country, primarily due to a shortage of cash in the banking system, Delta Bank encourages increased use of non-cash payments. They are more convenient to use in supermarkets, stores, gas stations, pharmacies, and elsewhere—any establishment that accepts bank cards. This will help keep a significant portion of cash in circulation and refill ATMs with funds for urgent needs when card payments are unavailable.
To make cashless payments with payment cards a familiar and convenient service, Delta Bank is improving its cashback options, which offer cash back when paying with a card. Soon, the "Return Money" program will be enhanced with new benefits, along with other promotions available for making cashless payments with payment cards.
It's worth noting that the bank's owner, Nikolai Lagun, has been under a massive information attack for several months. For example, Has anyone arrested the owner of Delta Bank? Is this a provocation?
