Will Demchishin, Romanov, and Grigorishin "make money" from purchasing equipment?

The National Security and Defense Council meeting considered proposals from the State Concern Ukroboronprom. These proposals are fully aligned with the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry's core mission, and their implementation will ensure uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to Ukrainian consumers. They will also ensure reliable transit of natural gas to European countries. The document, dated February 13, 2015, was signed by Minister Demchyshyn.

In this regard, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry proposed replacing outdated gas compressor units (GPUs) with new ones featuring higher efficiency. It was also proposed to replace imported equipment with domestically produced equipment.

In Ukraine, only one company produces gas-phase aerosols: Sumy Scientific and Production Association, which is part of the group of businessman Konstantin Grigorishin (Read more: Konstantin Grigorishin, Distinguished Oligarch of Ukraine and Russia).

As a reminder, in early September 2016, Ukrtransgaz announced three tenders for the reconstruction of compressor stations. The expected contract value, including the replacement of the gas compressor units, is UAH 4,12 billion.

Since 2014, the State Concern Ukroboronprom has been headed by Roman Romanov, head of Petro Poroshenko’s election campaign in the Kherson region.

Volodymyr Demchyshyn is a co-owner of the investment company ICU, which served President Petro Poroshenko's group.
