In the lead-up to the 70th anniversary of Victory Day, Mykolaiv City Council deputies from the Party of Regions are distributing food rations to World War II veterans and combat veterans on behalf of Borys Kozyr, a member of parliament from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
Relatives of one of the veterans who received food rations reported this to Prestupnosti.NET.
According to them, the food—a bottle of sunflower oil, a liter of juice, a can of condensed milk, a pack of rice, buckwheat, and tea—was delivered to them by Sergei Shulgach, a deputy of the Mykolaiv City Council elected from the Party of Regions, who presented the package on behalf of Boris Kozyr, a member of parliament from the presidential party.
In addition to the food, the package contained a greeting card signed “Sincerely yours, Boris Kozyr.”
It's worth noting that distributing food rations to citizens can already be considered a habit of MP Boris Kozyr. As previously reported, Kozyr spent virtually his entire fall 2014 election campaign in the Zavodskoy district of Mykolaiv, as well as the Mykolaiv and Ochakiv districts of Mykolaiv Oblast, bribing voters by giving gifts to medical workers and children, and distributing food rations to pensioners. Despite this, no criminal case was opened against Kozyr, despite the fact that police opened criminal cases for voter bribery against his competitors in the 127th district, specifically Anatoly Kinakh, but ultimately closed them.

As is known, the head of Boris Kozyr's campaign headquarters, and now his assistant as a people's deputy, is the former governor of the Mykolaiv region during the Viktor Yanukovych era, Gennady Nikolenko, who is facing criminal charges under Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for inciting ethnic hatred.
