A unique trial is underway in Ukraine, one that few people are aware of. The defendants are Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Groysman. They are facing punishment for failing to fulfill their duties.
An initiative group, including Yuriy Karmazin, a member of parliament for four convocations of the Verkhovna Rada and head of the "Fatherland Defenders Party," decided to summon government officials to court.
For reference: PZO was founded in 1997 and in 2007 was part of Viktor Yushchenko's "Our Ukraine" bloc, which ceased operations in 2013. Since then, PZO has not participated in elections.
The government and the Verkhovna Rada in Ukraine cannot be legitimate because they were elected by the illegitimate Central Election Commission, Karmazin stated. "The mandate of 12 of the 15 members of the Central Election Commission, according to the Constitution, expired on June 1, 2014. So how could they then declare the president of Ukraine the winner on June 2?! Were they working for Putin? This means our government is illegitimate," the deputy noted.
Karmazin previously stated that the government and the Verkhovna Rada in Ukraine cannot be legitimate because they were elected by an illegitimate Central Election Commission. According to Karmazin, "the authorities are behaving brazenly and cynically, disregarding the Constitution."
"We have long raised the issue of mandatory compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine by the president, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the prime minister, the heads of the Antimonopoly Committee, the State Property Fund, the Accounts Chamber, and other government agencies. To this end, we have filed five lawsuits: three with the District Administrative Court and two with the Supreme Administrative Court," the deputy said.
Poroshenko has already committed a violation that could lead to impeachment, stated Yuriy Karmazin: "Poroshenko shows signs of violating Article 111 of the Constitution of Ukraine, that is, the article that ultimately provides for impeachment."
Yuriy Karmazin also consistently criticizes Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, stating that he "led the Ministry of Internal Affairs to complete collapse."
Contrary to the official line of the country's leadership, Karmazin calls May 9 Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War and takes pictures with the Soviet flag.
Karmazin opposes Russia's annexation of Crimea, calling the Russian Federation an "aggressor," and condemns Moscow's intervention in the Donbass.
