Friends, I'll be introducing you to our new deputies who have replaced the old, criminal ones. First on our list is Dmitry Ivanovich Golubov, born in 1983, who was elected to the new European Rada as a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc. Ten years ago, Dima stole $11 million from Visa and Mastercard while dealing in counterfeit credit cards.

In 2005, Dima was locked up in the Lukyanivske pretrial detention center in Kyiv. In court, he was charged under four articles of the Criminal Code.

Dima was almost convicted, but suddenly two people's deputies from the criminal Party of Regions, Vladimir Demekhin and Vladimir Makeenko, intervened in the case.

The members of parliament each posted 50,000 hryvnias in bail, and Dima was released from custody for the duration of the trial.

Following the intervention of the people's deputies, the court somewhat changed its attitude towards Dima; Visa and Mastercard were denied participation in the proceedings as civil plaintiffs, and the case was soon closed due to lack of evidence of a crime.

Today, Dima is a member of parliament from the pro-cool coalition, the founder of the Internet Party of Ukraine, and simply a respected person who has deservedly taken his place in the president's close-knit team.

I am sure that with Dima's arrival in parliament, Europe has become a little closer.
