Dmitry Kiva will submit his candidacy for the competitive selection of the head of the Antonov State Enterprise.

antonovDmitry Kiva, currently the chief designer of the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Antonov, announced that he will participate in the competition to head the Antonov State Enterprise, according to RBC-Ukraine.

 

Kiva noted that he hopes that the positions of director and general designer will not be separated at the Antonov State Enterprise, as this could weaken the company.

 

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy and Food of Ukraine, headed by Aivaras Abromavicius, announced that the new head of the state-owned aircraft manufacturer Antonov will be selected through a competitive selection process. The competitive selection process will begin on April 16 and run until May 29 of this year. It will be conducted in accordance with the government's decision on the procedure for competitive selection of heads of public sector economic entities. Applications from candidates for the position will be accepted within 30 calendar days of the publication of the announcement of the competition for the vacant position.

On February 20, 2015, it was reported that a higher court had finally recognized Sergey Merenkov as the legal head of Antonov State Enterprise. Thus, Dmitry Kiva had completely lost his legal right to hold the position of President and General Designer of Antonov State Enterprise.

The official website of Antonov State Enterprise currently lists Dmitry Kiva as the company's president and general designer.
