The Prosecutor General explained that the Cypriot company paid hundreds of millions of dollars for the purchase of Ukrtelecom, and then, under the company’s outpost, money was taken on credit from one of the Ukrainian banks, which had been withdrawn on the shares of the same Cypriot company.
“So, in fact, Ukrtelecom has given the evildoers no harm,” Lutsenko said with respect.
He also added that the Prosecutor General's Office will deal with the beneficiary of this company, as well as Cyprus to inform the Ukrainian law enforcement about this person.
However, it is surprising that the Prosecutor General’s Office should check for information from Cyprus, as it may not be possible to find that all types of cases can be obtained in Kiev.
