Donetsk businessmen are eager to run for the Kyiv City Council on the lists of the New Faces party, led by the mayor of Irpen.

Valeriy Bevzenko, a former Party of Regions member and member of parliament of the 4th and 5th convocations, is running for the local elections on behalf of the New Faces party. He owns the Keramet group of companies, which specializes in metal recycling, and is also a co-owner of Donetsk-based ProFinBank.

Mr. Bevzenko is closely associated with a certain Igor Evgenievich Dvornikov, who is unemployed and lives in Kyiv. He previously served as the head of the supervisory board of the Velykoanadolsky Refractory Plant, a private joint-stock company run by Valery Bevzenko's brother, Boris Bevzenko. Dvornikov is also listed as the head of the Dmitrievsky granite quarry.

Dvornikov is also running for the Kyiv City Council as a member of the New Faces party and positions himself as an activist for the New Kyivshchyna charitable foundation, which was created less than a month ago.
