Akhmetov's DTEK has resumed purchasing coal from Lvivugol.

AkhmetovRinat Akhmetov's energy holding DTEK resumed coal purchases from state-owned Lvivugol on January 16. Acting Lvivugol CEO Anatoly Dyachenko announced this to the media.

Dyachenko noted that, through joint efforts, the Ministry of Energy and the leadership of the Lviv Regional State Administration managed to find common ground with the company Zakhidenergo and resume coal supplies from the state-owned enterprise Lvivugol.

As a reminder, Zapadenergo operates thermal power plants in the western regions of our country and is under the control of Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK.

Earlier it was reported that Akhmetov's energy holding refused to purchase coal from the state-owned Lvovugol, which led to a loss of profits for coal mines in the western region of Ukraine.

DTEK's position was harshly criticized by the media, and mine workers went on strike.
