The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) will inspect Kyiv Regional Electric Grids.
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) has decided to conduct an unscheduled on-site inspection of PJSC DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids due to the company's failure to provide standard connection services to the grid for a number of customers. The corresponding decision was made at the regulator's meeting on June 14, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
In justifying its decision, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) cited the presence of complaints from a number of individuals regarding DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids' failure to provide the standard service of connecting consumers' electrical installations to the company's distribution networks.
As reported, at a meeting on June 7, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) decided to conduct unscheduled on-site inspections of two electricity distribution system operators (EDOs) – PJSC DTEK Kyiv Electric Grids and JSC Prykarpattyobenergo – as well as one electricity supplier – Kyiv Energy Services LLC.
According to the regulator, the electricity distribution system operator DTEK Kyiv Electric Grids and the electricity supplier Kyiv Energy Services, in particular, failed to comply with license conditions in accordance with the distribution of electricity and the supply of electricity to consumers, as well as other regulatory legal acts governing the functioning of the electricity market in terms of its commercial metering.
In turn, Prykarpattyaoblenergo did not comply with legal requirements when temporarily connecting the consumer's electrical installations to the distribution system during the period of martial law in Ukraine.
As a reminder, on May 24, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKP) decided to resume unscheduled on-site inspections of license compliance by energy and public utilities entities.
For now, the commission's unscheduled on-site and scheduled inspections remain suspended.
