The Chesno public movement, co-founded by Ukrainian MP Svetlana Zalishchuk, demanded an explanation from her regarding the parliamentarian's purchase of an apartment for 13 million hryvnias. This message appeared on the movement's official website.

The public organization is asking Zalishchuk to clarify why the MP listed an apartment purchased in 2014 in her 2013 income declaration. Furthermore, it's unclear why the 2013 and 2014 tax returns did not include expenses for this property. The organization's statement states that they hope to receive "substantive answers to the questions posed."

As a reminder, on September 14, 2016, information appeared on Facebook that MP Zalishchuk owned an elite apartment near St. Sophia's and St. Michael's Cathedrals in central Kyiv worth at least 13 million hryvnias.

The publication Strana noted that, according to an extract from the State Register, Zalishchuk acquired this property several months before her election as a people's deputy in 2014. However, the parliamentarian listed it in her tax return for 2013.
