On November 10, 2014, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine filed charges against the former executives of the Nadra Ukrainy National Joint-Stock Company under Part 2 of Article 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. These individuals were placed on the wanted list. The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv granted permission for their detention for the purpose of bringing them to court for the selection of a preventive measure.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office press service, in 2012-2013, two former chairmen of the board of PJSC Nadra Ukrainy, in violation of Ukrainian law, signed agreements for the purchase and sale of shares in the common property of the state-owned enterprise OJSC Nadra Ukrainy. This resulted in the loss of control over natural gas production at the Sakhalin field in the Kharkiv region and the loss of state profits.
As is known, in the Sakhalin field, during the period 2012-2013, without the participation of JSC NAK Nadra Ukrainy, gas was produced in the amount of 363 million cubic meters at a total cost of more than 1 billion 270 million UAH.
The suspects face up to six years in prison; their names have not yet been released.
