Former head of the State Food and Agriculture Organization of Ukraine Tomilenko has been arrested for 60 days.

bribe bucksThe Kyiv Court of Appeals has reportedly ordered the pretrial detention of Valeriy Tomilenko, former acting chairman of the board of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine. As compensation for the 60-day pretrial detention, he may post bail in the amount of 5 million hryvnias. This bail can be paid by the suspect himself or by other individuals or legal entities.
The detainee is accused of a corrupt scheme involving collusion with another company, which received approximately 50 million hryvnias for the delivery of grain products (corn) that were not shipped on time. The case was investigated by NABU specialists, who also arrested Tomilenko. The Rokitnia Grain Plant, which was involved in the transaction, is believed to be the indirect property of a well-known businessman (Yuri Bondarchuk).
