Former Finance Minister Markarova has been appointed Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States.

On February 25, 2021, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Decree No. 75/2021 appointing former Finance Minister Oksana Markarova as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States. The relevant information is posted on Online Office of the President.

"Congratulating Oksana Markarova on her appointment, the head of state noted that her candidacy has three key advantages: patriotism, a high level of professionalism, and a very positive perception in the United States," the head of state congratulated the new ambassador.
