This constitutes a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement, or misappropriation of property through abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It has already been established that former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Ukraine Raisa Bogatyreva, acting intentionally, by prior conspiracy with a group of individuals, in her personal interests and the interests of third parties, and using her powers contrary to the interests of the service, embezzled budget funds in the amount of over 6 million hryvnias.

In addition, on October 20, the former Minister of Health of Ukraine was issued a notice of suspicion for committing the said crime.

"On October 21, 2014, she was placed on the wanted list by order of an investigator from the Prosecutor General's Office, and on October 23, the court granted permission to detain this individual and bring her to court for consideration of a petition for pretrial detention," the Prosecutor General's Office press service said in a statement.

On the same day, the court ordered the seizure of the property of the former minister and her husband, Igor Bogatyrev. Specifically, they include three apartments in Kyiv, an apartment in Yalta, and three houses in the village of Pidhirtsi in the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region.
