Former Interior Minister: Avakov and Zguladze embezzled funds that were supposed to be used to reform the Interior Ministry

Yanukovych-era Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko reported on his Facebook page that Eka Zguladze, the first deputy of current Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, was detained at Boryspil customs with a suitcase full of cash – $4 million.
As it turned out, Zguladze was heading to her husband on the Côte d'Azur, and the large sum, according to her, was intended to cover the costs of her upcoming birth in France.
According to Zakharchenko, during the investigation into the origin of these funds, it turned out that "a sum of 10 (according to other sources, 14) million US dollars was transferred to Ms. Zguladze and Avakov's ilk for the reform of law enforcement agencies, who stupidly appropriated them instead of using them for their intended purpose."
