The Security Service of Ukraine has detained former Justice Minister Olena Lukash. This was announced on Facebook by the agency's spokesperson, Olena Gitlyanska.

At 15:00 PM, a briefing began on the arrest of the former head of the Ministry of Justice, where Gilyanskaya stated that this was "not the last arrest" and promised that selective justice would no longer be practiced.

Lukash had been wanted since September 10 last year for involvement in crimes against Maidan participants.

The Prosecutor General's Office is investigating the embezzlement of state funds totaling over 2,5 billion hryvnias. According to law enforcement, Lukash was involved in the theft along with employees of the European Legal Group LLC. The embezzlement took place in 2013-2014.

The media is already actively discussing this event, with opinions polarized. Some sources describe Lukash as a "victim of the regime," while others point out that the former minister owns three apartments in Kyiv, previously seized by court order.
