Igor Dobzhansky
The "Independent Public Portal," citing copies of documents in its possession, reports that Igor Dobzhansky, the former head of the Volochyssy District State Administration during the Yanukovych era, is seeking to establish a pension for his special services to Ukraine due to his disability.
Specifically, it states that the current deputy of the Khmelnytskyi regional council, who was elected from the Party of Regions, Igor Dobzhanskyi, on January 5, 2015, submitted an application to the Khmelnytskyi district state administration with a request to establish and recalculate his pension for special services to Ukraine.
The former Party of Regions member provided a package of documents, including a certificate assigning him a permanent third-degree disability. Dobzhansky also provided copies of certificates of state awards: the honorary title "Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine" (Presidential Decree of February 14, 2002, No. 137) and the Order of Merit, 3rd Class (Presidential Decree of September 20, 2012, No. 553). Most interestingly, Dobzhansky received his first award a year before graduating from the Podolsk State Agrarian and Technical Academy, specializing in "Agricultural Mechanization." He defended his diploma from the Academy in 2003.
Current deputies of the Khmelnytskyi District State Administration are outraged by the former Party of Regions member's insolence and have already appealed to higher authorities demanding that the documents provided by Igor Dobzhansky be verified.
It is reported that on January 22, 2015, district council deputy Dmitry Bespalov appealed to the Khmelnytskyi District State Administration, demanding that the documents submitted by Dobzhansky be verified for compliance with the Law of Ukraine "On Pensions for Special Services to Ukraine."
